ABOUT ME
MY STORY
Erin Geis is a Cincinnati-based artist and educator whose expansive drawings function as a visual journal, translating her daily experiences through a combination of everyday materials and residue. Her large-scale installations evoke a dynamic interplay of suspense and intervention, with each work reflecting a sustained engagement with time, process, and preservation. Geis employs materials such as paper, glue, and found objects to build layered surfaces that invite response through acrylic paint, graphite, and glue. Her approach embraces presence, vulnerability, and interruption, allowing these conditions to shape the work. Each piece ultimately becomes a rich archive, capturing the subtle yet profound rhythms of her everyday life.
